The Pakistan Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 has received much praise in the press and among visitors. It received 8,000 visitors on the first day according to Khaleej Times.

Khaleej Times uploaded a video on its social media doing a tour of the Pakistan pavilion which has been set up in the Opportunity section, ostensibly to showcase the many opportunities the country has to offer.

Curated by famed artist Noorjehan Bilgrami and named "Hidden Treasures of Pakistan", the structure was designed by renown artist Rashid Rana and visitors were all praise.

Afroz Abro, lead programming and marketing at Pakistan Pavilion, told Khaleej Times on Friday: “The response has been outstanding and we have people appreciating all aspects of the pavilion."

The pavilion is divided into eight key spaces where visitors will experience Pakistan's "hidden treasures".

At least 190 nations are showcasing their country's attractions and ambitions at the Dubai Expo.

On Saturday, the AP reported that Expo officials acknowledged that five workers had died during the construction of the site. Previously it said some 200,000 laborers built the site and worked some 240 million hours in its construction.

On Friday, Abu Dhabi based newspaper The National posted a live video tour of its correspondent visiting the Pakistan Pavilion and showering it with praise.
