Shehroze Kashif summits world's 8th highest mountain

Shehroze Kashif, a 19-year-old Pakistani, has summitted Manaslu, the world's eighth highest mountain in Nepal on Saturday, according to a tweet by Alpine Adventure Guides.

Kashif reached the 8,163m high mountain peak in Nepal at 5:40 am, Pakistan time.

In July, the young climber summitted the world's second highest mountain K2 which is 8,611m high.

Different mountaineering clubs congratualted the young climber on social media.

In another tweet, the Karakoram Club requested prayers for Kashif as he began his descent.

Kashif, who began climbing in his early teens, scaled the world's 12th highest mountain, 8,047-metre (26,400 foot) Broad Peak, at the age of 17. In May, he became the youngest Pakistani to scale Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. He now holds an additional record as the youngest person to have summitted K2 and Everest.
