ISLAMABAD: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Friday, losing 284.38 points, with a negative change of 0.61 per cent, closing at 46,636.98 points against 46,920.46 points on the last working day.

A total of 387,292,541 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 405,178,223 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs16.237 billion against Rs16.509 billion the previous day.

As many as 525 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 173 of them recorded gain and 327 sustained losses whereas the share price of 25 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 42,415,000 shares and price per share of Rs3.25, TRG Pak Ltd with a volume of 25,234,230 and price per share of Rs174.05 and Byco Petroleum with volume of 20,913,000 and price per share of Rs8.93.

Gatron Ind witnessed a maximum increase of Rs36.32 per share, closing at Rs527.50. The runner up was Ismail Ind, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs29.01 to Rs449.

Rafhan MaizeXD witnessed maximum decrease of Rs200 per share, closing at Rs108000, followed by Nestle Pakistan, the share prices of which declined by Rs77 per share to Rs5,910.
