Islamabad District and Sessions Court has extended the judicial remand of Zahir Jaffer, the man accused of murdering Noor Muqadam, till September 6.

Jaffer was brought to Islamabad court on completion of 14-day judicial remand but the accused was not produced in court. Instead he was kept in a holding cell where prisoners are kept when they are brought to court for hearings.

Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Imran marked Jaffer's attendance.

After receiving the judicial remand of the accused from the District and Sessions Court, the police took Jaffer back to Adiala Jail.

Meanwhile the police have also completed preparing the challan of Noor case.

Jaffer has been found guilty as have Jaffer's parents, the owner of the Therapy Works and other accused.

The grisly murder, in which Mukadam was beheaded, took place on July 20 in Islamabad's F-7 area.

The Islamabad police arrested suspect Jaffer on the night of July 20 from his house where, according to Noor's parents, he killed her with a sharp instrument and severed her head.
