ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 34 paisas on Monday against the US dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs165.96 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs165.62.

According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs165.7 and Rs166.8 respectively.

Similarly, the price of euro was depreciated by Rs 1.16 and closed at Rs195.80 against the last day’s trading of Rs194.64, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs1.51, whereas an increase of Rs 1.49 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs228.33 as compared to its last closing of Rs226.84.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 09 paisas each to close at Rs 45.18 and Rs 44.25 respectively.
