While describing the poor state of Karachi on Sunday, leader of the oppostion Shahbaz Sharif got teary eyed.

He called the Quaid's city one that was being treated like a step mother.

Addressing a party gathering, the PML-N leader said he was so pained to see the state of the roads on his visit which he called "indescribable."

He said he prayed that before his death he has the chance to take care of Karachi to which the gathering applauded. It was here that he became visibly emotional and could not fight back tears.

He later tweeted his gratitude to supporters who came out to see him in Karachi.

He also visited the Quaid's mausoleum on Monday and tweeted images from that.
