A judicial magistrate court in Islamabad has extended judicial remand of Zahir Jaffer till August 30 in Noor Muqadam’s murder case, while the court also sent six other accused, including Therapy Works chief Tahir Zahoor, on judicial remand.

The court also allowed conducting DNA tests of two of Zahir's household staff members.

During the proceedings, the court directed Zahoor's name be included in the new remand paper.

The police presented six officials of the psychotherapy centre namely, Wamiq Riaz, Dilip Kumar, Samar Abbas, Abdul Haq, Amjab Mehmood and the CEO, in court on Monday after their one-day physical custody was completed.

The police also recorded statements of the accused under Section 161.

According to the sources, during the investigation it was revealed that the chief of psychotherapy centre intentionally tried to mislead the police officials related to the incident.

Zahir’s father had informed Zahoor of the incident, however, the CEO didn’t inform the police despite watching all the evidence at the crime scene, said the source.

Later the accused were sent on judicial remand.
