Maryam Nawaz's son getting married in London without his parents
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar will tie the knot in London on August 22.
In a series of tweets, Maryam confirmed her son’s Nikkah with Ayesha Saif-ur-Rehman Khan.
“Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the ceremony owing to blatant victimisation, bogus cases and my name on ECL [Exit Control List],” she lamented.
My son Junaid’s nikah with Ayesha Saif-ur-Rahman Khan will take place in London on 22nd August Insha’Allah. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the ceremony owing to blatant victimisation, bogus cases and my name on ECL. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/7HYrm5mNaH

Maryam also tweeted that she was unable to see her mother before she died and now she has to miss her son’s wedding.
I was in jail when my beloved mother passed away and now I won’t be able to share my son’s happiness, but, I will NOT make any request to this government for travel abroad. I leave the matter to Almighty Allah. https://t.co/hNXBSpa7yB

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson will be getting married to Ayesha Saif Khan, the daughter of Saifur Rehman Khan, who served as chairman of the Ehtisab Bureau during the second term of the PML-N in power.
The Nikkah ceremony will take place at the Lanesborough, Hyde Park Corner in the UK capital.
The National Accountability Bureau had filed Al Azizia Steel Mills reference against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz.
The government had allowed Nawaz to travel abroad on medical grounds in November 2019 but Maryam could not accompany him as her name was placed on the no-fly list.
Maryam had also filed a petition seeking a one-time permission to travel abroad for six weeks to take care of her ailing father. The federal cabinet, however, in December 2019 decided not to remove her name from the ECL.
