Federal Minister for the Interior Government of Pakistan Sheikh Rasheed said the cabinet will give a decision on Tehreek-e- Labbaik Pakistan’s status as an outlawed party on Tuesday.

The party had been banned in April under anti-terrorism laws after the party staged violent protests when TLP leader Saad Hussain Rizvi was arrested.

During his press conference on Monday, Rasheed also spoke about the July 25 elections in AJK.

He said 7200 FC soldiers and Rangers will be deployed during AJK elections on the request of the election commission.

He stated that this action is taken to ensure clean elections in AJK, and the army will also be available if required outside polling stations for the safety of polling agents as well as fair conduct in the elections.

He also said he was confident that PTI will win the elections to be held on July 25th, as he claimed that parties who lose the elections have “started crying already, like Bilawal Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz.”

“Imran Khan has respect and popularity in AJK, and he will make a government there on July 25th,” he continued.

Rasheed also announced that the ministry will “take every lawful action” against Maryam Nawaz’s planned demonstration in Karachi. “Maryam has a passion for dharnas,” said Rasheed.

Fake CNIC Issue

Rasheed also revealed that 39 NADRA officials have been suspended in Karachi regarding the fake CNIC issue by the new chairman Malik Tariq.

He also requested that action must be taken against those who are involved in issuing fake identity cards.
