Sindh decides to extend business hours till 8pm from June 7
KARACHI: The Sindh government on Sunday decided to extend business hours till 8pm instead of 6pm, but made vaccination mandatory for the staff of all shops and markets.
The decisions were taken during a meeting of the Sindh Coronavirus Task Force.
Chairing the meeting Chief minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that all shopkeepers and staffers must get vaccinated for the coronavirus, after 15 days checking of vaccination certificate will also be started, he added.
The meeting was informed that the rate of coronaviruses in Karachi on June 5 was reported 8.5 per cent while on first June it was 12.5 per cent.
The Chief Minister said that from tomorrow, along with schools for 9th and 10th classes, educational activities in colleges and universities are also being reopened. But for now, opening a wedding hall and outdoor events will not be allowed. However, citizens will be able to go to the beach, he added.
Sindh Corona Task Force has decided to reopen educational institutions of Sindh for class 9th and above from 7th June(tomorrow) with strict SOPs. All staff must be get vaccinated.

The meeting also decided to allow restaurants to open outdoor dining until 12 am from June 7. However, restaurants will have to ensure that there is sufficient distance between people sitting in the outdoor areas.

It has also been decided to open salons with SOPs.
The Sindh Chief Minister has set a target of vaccinating 18 million people in the next three months.
