No point in rejoining the PDM, says Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
2 min readPakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Sunday said that the leadership of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) seems to be in a state of confusion. There is no point in rejoining the opposition alliance while it has no action plan, he added.
PPP chairman made these remarks while speaking to the media after visiting Wali Bagh in Charsadda along with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to offer condolences over the death of Awami National Party's (ANP's) Begum Naseem Wali Khan.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that idea of allying against the PTI-led government was proposed by the PPP, however, there is no point in rejoining the movement given the current circumstances. Opposition parties or alliances should not be confused about their goals, however, parties in PDM do not have a clear stance, he added.
The PPP chairman said that all parties of the PDM were supportive of an action plan set forth for the alliance, however, the action plan could not be implemented because there was no consensus among the parties. Unless and until the action plan is brought back, there is no point rejoining the PDM, Bilawal reiterated.
The people of Pakistan are suffering because of the incompetent government, said Bilawal and added, the country is facing historic poverty because of the economic policies of the government. All the attention of opposition parties should be targeted on PM Imran Khan's government, he emphasized.
