NCOC: 4.74 million Covid vaccine doses administered so far
The Covid vaccination drive of Pakistan is in full swing these days. Every week multiple new vaccination centers are being added across the country which has led to an increased capacity for daily immunizations.
As per the daily coronavirus updates provided by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the nerve center to synergize and articulate a unified national effort against COVID-19, 4.74 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Pakistan to date. Just in the past 24 hours, 211,986 doses were given across the country.
According to the government's figures, so far 2,491,040 people have been partially vaccinated meaning that these many individuals have received at least one dose of vaccine. The number of citizens who have been fully vaccinated i.e. those who have received all necessary doses specified by the vaccine manufacturers has reached 1,156,893.
Although recently the government has amped up its immunization campaign significantly, still there is a long road ahead of us before we can attain herd immunity.
