Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says all matters have been settled with the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan after negotiations with them.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he said two hundred FIRs against the violent TLP workers will proceed under due legal process.

The Interior Minister said six hundred and sixty-nine workers of banned TLP have been released. He said the TLP could file an appeal against the decision of its banning within thirty days. He said a committee will decide the appeal.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said forty million rupees will be disbursed among the heirs of the martyred policemen and the injured police officials.

He said the writ of the state has been ensured. He said no one will be allowed to take the law into his own hands.

The Interior Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan will sensitize the Western world about sanctity of Prophethood Sallallah o Allaihe wa Sallam Khatim-un-Nabiyeen, and to convince them that any incident of blasphemy hurts Muslims.
