Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Monday announced that 11 policemen, taken hostage in Lahore by the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) on Sunday, have been released.
According to the details, the abducted policemen were released after the “first round of talks” between the TLP leadership and the Punjab government concluded in a "successful manner". In a video statement, the interior minister said that the protesters have gone inside the Masjid Rehmatulil Alameen and the police have also been withdrawn.
