Pakistan: 6,127 new Covid cases detected out of 71,836 sampled
The coronavirus situation of Pakistan is getting worse by the day as more and more cases are being detected daily. The total reported cases have exceeded 756,000 while total virus-related casualties have surpassed 16,000.

149 new deaths - It's the country's third highest-ever one-day tally reported in the pandemic yet. With the top 2 death tallies reported also at the peak of the first wave of COVID-19 in mid-June, yesterday's count is highest in the ongoing third wave.
71,836 PCR Covid-19 tests conducted in the past 24 hours in Pakistan- it's the highest number of tests conducted in the country in a single day yet.

Among all the provinces of the country, the most number of new coronavirus cases were detected in Punjab in the past 24 hours as 3,562 Punjabis tested positive. This statistic indicates that the lethal flu bug is rampant in the most populous region of the country.
