Sindh CM accords approval grant of Rs25m to newly established universities
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presided over the meeting of Public Sector Universities at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi.
The Provincial Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Asim briefed the meeting and said that HEC-Pakistan will monitor the performance of Universities, Evaluation and Accreditation with Provincial HEC.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah accorded approval a grant of 25 million rupees to the newly established universities. The chief minister also awarded a grant of 45.7 million on request of Provincial HEC to 10 Universities for 26 Research Projects.
Murad Ali Shah awarded the grant of 5 million rupees for the setup I.T. Labs in Sheikh Ayaz Universities Shikarpur, Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University Sukkur, Benazir Bhutto University Khairpur, Government College University Hyderabad, and Benazir Bhutto Shaeed University Lyari.
He also accorded approval for a grant of 21 million rupees for setting up the smart classroom in 7 universities of the province.
