On Monday, Dr. Faisal Sultan who is currently serving as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination, got his coronavirus vaccine. He shared his experience and said that he was feeling fine after getting the Sinopharm vaccine.

He shared the news via popular social media platform Twitter, writing:

I registered myself as a healthcare worker on covid.gov.pk/vaccine and received a PIN & instructions. Got my 1st dose of vaccine (Sinopharm) today & feeling fine.

In the first phase, frontline health workers are being vaccinated in Pakistan. The country's de-facto health chief asked all the healthcare providers below the age of 60 years to register for the vaccination campaign as soon as possible so that they can get immunized in time. He added:

If you are a health professional (below 60 years of age), please get vaccinated now. Protect yourself and others.

Explaining the procedure by which health workers aged over 60 years can get registered for the jabs, he further tweeted:

If you are a healthcare worker and over the age of 60, please send your CNIC to 1166 and you will be vaccinated using the AstraZeneca vaccine in early March, Inshallah.
