Finally 3G, 4G services launched in Waziristan
Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to launch 3G, 4G services in Waziristan.
While addressing gathering during his day long tour to South Waziristan, PM said that internet is the biggest need of hour and it will help promote education in this area.
“Our biggest asset is our youth and we need to take steps to provide them ample opportunities. Unfortunately, the biggest challenge Pakistan faces is unemployed youth. We hope that launch of internet services in Waziristan will help uplifting this area. I talked to Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief General Lt Gen Faiz Hameed for the provision of 3G, 4G in Waziristan,” he said.
Imran Khan added that India wants to use internet to spread anarchy in Waziristan.
PM further said that aim of Kamyab Jawan Program is to provide employment opportunities to youth.
“We will try our best to uplift marginalized sections of society. We will open schools, colleges and universities here,” he said.
PM said that merger of tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) was a difficult yet major decision.
“Waziristan has suffered the most due to terrorism. It is highly important to take essential steps to uplift this area. We do not care who you voted for, we only want to see you developed,” he added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is in South Waziristan on a day-long tour.
He is accompanied by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan, Governor KP Shah Farman, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Usman Dar and Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
