Sindh delays reopening of schools for grade sixth to eighth
Sindh education minister Saeed Ghani announced on Friday that the reopening of schools for sixth, seventh and eighth graders is being delayed
While talking to a press conference, Saeed Ghani said that the decision has been taken over fears of the spread of COVID-19 as educational institutes have been observed to have failed in enforcing safety protocols.
"Students from these grades will be asked to rejoin school on September 28, if the COVID-19 situation improves", the education minister added.
The Sindh government has expressed its concern over resuming primary classes across the province from the last week of September after coronavirus cases were reported at educational institutions.
