  • Pakistan is the 17th country to report over 3 lac cases.

  • The first novel coronavirus case in Pakistan was confirmed 198 days ago on 26th February.

  • In the past week, 2,930 new cases and 33 new deaths were reported in the country.

The number of total coronavirus cases reported in Pakistan has exceeded 3 lac (300,955).

The viral disease has been contained effectively in the country as the daily new cases' tally has dropped to 400-500. It's a stark contrast as compared to the viral tallies recorded in the COVID peak in the country in mid-June when on average 4,000-5,000 new cases were being recorded.

Recently, the WHO hailed Pakistan's government success in containing the viral spread in the country and asked other countries to follow Pakistan's footsteps.

Though we have successfully flattened our COVID curve courtesy our health heroes who fought valiantly against the flu bug. But the virus is still present around us and the cases can spike again anytime. Moreover, health experts have warned against a second wave of the virus in the coming weeks. So it's advised that keep following SOPs put in place by authorities, avoid social gatherings, and most importantly, wear masks whenever you go out.
