Parts of Sindh including Karachi are expected to receive heavy rainfall as the sixth spell of monsoon likely to enter the metropolis from today (Monday).

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the spell will bring heavy rains in Karachi from Monday till Thursday.

The PMD predicted that rain, wind-thundershowers up to 150mm are expected in Karachi and other parts of Sindh from today till August 27.

Karachi is expected to receive heavy showers with thunderstorms on August 25 (tomorrow), said the MET office.

As a consequence of heavy downpour, the met department has issued urban flooding warning for Sindh including Karachi due to heavy downpour.

Meanwhile, heavy rain and wind-thundershowers are expected in other parts of the country including southeastern Balochistan, and northeastern Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining areas.

The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country in the last 24 hours.
