Coronavirus cases have been declining in Pakistan for several weeks, the number of active cases in the country has shrunken to 12,116.

Pakistan has made an impressive recovery in its fight against COVID-19. Daily reported novel coronavirus infections in the country have kept consistently below the figure of 1,000 in the month of August. The total number of cases in Pakistan has exceeded 290,000 as 613 people tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.

The latest Coronavirus statistics of Pakistan are as follows:

  • The number of people who have fully recovered from the viral disease is over 272,128.

  • The Covid-related fatalities have exceeded 6,201.

  • Only 12,116 active coronavirus cases are left in the country

Public health experts have warned the public that the dwindling number of new cases doesn't mean that coronavirus doesn't pose any more serious threat to the public. In reality, the threat of contracting the viral disease is now more than ever as lockdown restrictions have lifted across the country and people are no longer taking precautionary measures seriously.

Health experts and government officials have advised the nation to follow SOPs strictly and avoid social gatherings so we can avoid another spike of COVID cases in the country.
