It has been two weeks since Pakistan reported over 1,000 new coronavirus cases in a single day.

The coronavirus spread has been contained successfully in Pakistan as the number of new cases has diminished consistently for the past several weeks. Not even once, the daily tally of corona cases has exceeded the figure of 1,000 in the country in the first two weeks of August.

31st July was the last time more than a thousand cases were reported in the country.

Yesterday, 753 Pakistanis tested positive for the virus taking the total cases to 287,300. Number of people who died due to Covid-19 has reached 6,153. Over 265,000 people have fully recovered from the viral disease.
