While COVID-19 has almost had our lives on halt, it can't stop love. Another celebrity couple has tied the knot in a private ceremony amidst the eased-lockdown. Congratulations are in order for actor Faryal Mehmood and Daniyal Raheal, who got hitched in an intimate indoor ceremony with only Raheal's family present.
Daniyal wrote a lengthy post on Facebook, breaking the joy ful news of his own wedding.
"Almost a week ago we set off by road for Lahore but our journey didn't start there. We met and spent the last two years navigating through each other lives to get to this point. We drove for half a day, across hundreds of miles together to make the pilgrimage to my family so that we could be with each other for what I know is forever," he shared and added, "Everything was perfect, except a lot of things – my wife’s entire family is in the states. They were all there on various phones, crying, smiling, cheering for us. We missed them.”
However, Raheal's family managed to pull together a day full of laughter and love, the actor shared. "It was everything. I am the luckiest man, I honestly am. Times are strange, love hard. Mr and Mrs Daniyal Raheal,” he further added.
Raheal has promised to share pictures as soon as "Faryals bridesmaid/photographer Yasir Khan stops eating and sleeping all the time."
Just last week, actor Agha Ali and Hina Altaf announced their Nikkah in a private ceremony with only close family members in attendance. Before that, actor Nimra Khan tied the knot with beau at home. Looks like lockdown is changing desi shaadi culture from unlimited functions and grandeur to a more minimalistic and family-oriented occasion. And to be frank, we are all in for this change to continue.
