PM to chair NCC meeting today over easing Lockdown
National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting is being held in Islamabad on Thursday with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair to discuss opening business centers from May 10, and educational institutions from June 1.
The meeting is expected to take a final decision on easing lockdown restrictions in the country.
All the four chief ministers and certain federal ministers will participate in the meeting. The meeting will also be attended by federal ministers, high ranking military officials and chairman NDMA.
Earlier, Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood chaired a virtual meeting of Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference in Islamabad.
Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan proposed continued closure of schools due to fear of coronavirus spread.
However, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa suggested opening the school, aimed at mitigating the student's educational loss.
