Non-bailable arrest warrants of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi issued
—File PhotoKARACHI: An accountability court (AC) of Karachi on Friday has issued non-bailable arrest warrants of former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in illegal appointment case.
National Accountabiliy Bureau (NAB) filed a reference and named Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in reference for allegedly appointing Sheikh Imranul Haq as the managing director of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) in sheer violation of rules and regulations.
According to the statement issued by NAB, the non-bailable arrest warrants of former petroleum secretary Arshad Mirza, who is also named in the reference, has also been issued.
The notices have been issued to Imranul Haq and and PSO's former deputy MD of finance Yaqoob Suttar. The accused have been ordered to appear before an accountability court on April 10.
