Sehat Sahulat Program to provide treatment to all deserving population: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan says Sehat Sahulat Program of the government will provide treatment facility to all deserving people in the country.
Addressing the health cards distribution ceremony among transgender in Islamabad on Monday evening, the Prime Minister assured the transgender community that the government will protect their rights, which were neglected during past regimes.
He said government believes in serving all segments of society without any discrimination and provision of health cards to transgender people is manifestation of this commitment.
The Prime Minister said it is very difficult for poor people to afford health expenditures and the government is facilitating them through Sehat Sahulat Cards.
Highlighting his government's future priorities, Imran Khan said that we are going to expand our Ehsas programme by increasing network of Utility Stores Corporation and issuing ration cards to provide kitchen items on subsidized rates.
He said more Langar Khanas will be opened to provide free meals to the destitute and needy people in society.
The Prime Minister said more loans will be provided to the youth to encourage entrepreneurship and 2020 will be the year of development and progress, which will bring prosperity to the people.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Health said that Sehat Sahulat Progarm offers financial protection to the poor families against extra-ordinary health care expenditure for in-door treatment at empanelled hospitals across the country in order to reduce financial burden on them.
