Mahira Khan selected as UNHCR Goodwill ambassador
1 min readUnited Nations’ refugee agency, United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has appointed noted Pakistani actress Mahira Khan as UNHCR’s National Goodwill Ambassador.
The UNHCR made the announcement through a video on Twitter.

The 'Superstar' actress said she felt privileged to have been chosen to serve for the noble cause.

She also said: Pakistan has set an example for the world where a country has hosted refugees for the last 40 years. This is one cause because I feel so strongly about it, especially as Pakistan's UNHCR National Goodwill Ambassador.
The UNHCR is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees.
