Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Islamabad district, today, raising the toll to four since yesterday.

The youth were killed by the troops during a violent cordon and search operation in Bijbehara area of the district. They were identified as Sajjad Ahmad Butt and Tawseef Ahmad Butt, both residents of Bijbehara.

A bullet-riddled body of a final-year student, Nasir Ahmad, was recovered near a house destroyed by Indian troops during an operation in Achabal area of district. Another youth was found dead under mysterious conditions in Khanyar area of Srinagar. The authorities suspended internet services in Islamabad district.

Earlier, two of the 21 Indian soldiers injured in an improvised explosive device attack at Aarihal in Pulwama district, yesterday, succumbed at a military hospital in Srinagar. Eight of the injured soldiers associated with 44 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army are in a critical condition.

Apparently in retaliation to the deadly IED attack, the troops ruthlessly beat up a local traffic police officer and a school-bus driver in Srinagar and Shopian districts. Besides, the troops also thrashed several shopkeepers in Zawoora area of Shopian.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Kashmir University students, faculty members and scholars, today, offered funeral prayers in absentia for former Egyptian President, Muhammad Morsi.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in a statement strongly condemned the summoning of resistance leader, Yasmeen Raja, to Delhi by India’s National Investigation Agency.

Two Indian soldiers committed suicide by shooting themselves with their service rifles in Kandi area of Kupwara and Pattan area of Baramulla, today. These two incidents raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 433 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date.
