KARACHI: On the eve of New Year 2018, at least 15 people were injured in aerial firing during New Year celebrations in different parts of the metropolis in the wee hours of Monday.

According to rescue sources, 15 people from different parts of city including, Defence, Lyari, Mahmoodabad, Korangi, Landhi, North Nazimabad and Tipu Sultan, areas received stray bullet injures during the celebrations of the New Year.

The injured were identified as Reema, aged 28, Zain, 25,  Anmol, 18, Abdullah, 25, Bilal, 15, Sadaquat, 36, Anees,50, Waqas, 26, Irfan, 30, Abida, 20, Bisma, 7, Tahir, 30, Noor, 22,  Aftab, 24, Zahir Khan, and Razaq, 40.The injured were shifted to different hospitals in the city for treatment.  -PPI
