Lucknowi Lentils
Ingredients
- Toor daal – 1 cup
- Turmeric – ½ tsp
- Green chilies (chopped) – 2
- Heeng – ½ tsp
- Garlic (Chopped) – 5 to 6
- Cumin seeds – 1tsp
- Chilies (Dried Red) – 3
- Milk – ¾ cup
- Ghee – 2tbsps
- Salt as per taste
Method
- Boil lentil (dal) with green chilies, turmeric powder, salt and 1.5 cups of water till done.
- Once it cooked, transfer it in bottom pan and let it simmer on low flame.
- Heat ghee in another pan, add cumin seed, red chilies.
- Add heeng and then immediately add into the bubbling daal.
- Cover the dal.
- After a minute, add milk and let it simmer for 2 miuntes.
