Hard working parents could become an example to their children, study

WEB DESK: Working hard may make your tired at times but it impacts on your children positively and they start to value it, suggests a new study. 

The study was done on babies around 15 months. They demonstrate interest which shows their value for work done by efforts. When babies saw adults struggling to achieve a goal, they tried harder as well. Then, the ones who accomplished it effortlessly.

The professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Laura Schulz said, this investigation could become a guide for parents who want their children to adopt the habit of hard work.

"There’s some pressure on parents to make everything look easy and not get frustrated in front of their children", adding, "This study suggests that it may not be a bad thing to show your children that you are working hard to achieve your goals."

Furthermore, this research also highlighted the attitude of a baby towards learning at very early age. It also demonstrate his decision about when to try with force or when it becomes useless to try.

Published in Science journal, the research has the team consist of 15 month old babies was formed who firstly watched a grown persons performing two tasks. Then, a musical toy with hard turning 'on' button was given to babies. And, to your surprise, babies who had seen volunteer putting efforts while doing a task, pressed the button again and again then ones who didn't. Plus, they neither asked for help nor tossed the toy like babies of other group.

Lastly, the researchers concluded that people have skills to learn at an early stage along with the sense of when to try hard or stop trying.
