WEB DESK: We often enjoy eating and sometimes go on particular diets to loose weight without knowing its negative impacts on brain. Also, we rarely think which foods can be unhealthy for our mental health. 

Besides food, there are numerous other habits that are damaging our brain silently and we unaware of that.

Skipping breakfast

Since childhood we are being forced to consume a healthy breakfast because it has countless health benefits. And it does impact on mental health positively. According to different studies, children who perform well at school are the ones who eat a balanced breakfast. Moreover, skipping the first meal of your day will decrease glucose levels in blood which affects proper brain functioning.

Junk food

Junk or fast foods are indeed mouth watering and it is difficult to resist but have you thought how damaging these food items could be ? Junk food impact on brain cells and consuming too much of it can may give you depression.

Cell phones

Cell phones are useful invention but anything cause you harm if you don't use it in moderation. Using cell phones all the time can be harmful. As a study done on rats showed a clear link between brain cancer and constant use of cell phones. Hence, experts suggest to go for speaker or a headset plus, avoid placing your phones nearer to you while sleeping.

Covering your head during sleep

Sleeping with your head covered with a blanket impedes oxygen to enter in body. This way we breathe in an atmosphere with 'recycled' air, drenched in carbon dioxide. And, this scenario generates limited oxygen for our brain.

A strict diet

If you belief on strict diets that will make you shred extra pounds in less time then you have to reconsider it. It was proved by research that limited diets make brain to eat itself. Therefore, don't go for short cuts but focus on eating right.
