KARACHI: Those who love their daily dose of caffeine in an open-air tea cafes a.k.a dhabas in Defence must find a replacement, as on Tuesday the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) decided to bulldozed all dhabas in Chota Bukhari area earlier in the day.

While talking to local daily, one of the owners agreed to spoke on the matter only on the condition of anonymity revealed that DHA personnel arrived between 8:30am and 9am and flatten the outdoor sitting areas of all such cafes in the area.

Similarly other vendors have refused to shut down their businesses and decided to filed a case against DHA, as they claimed that they were paying high taxes to spots they were using.

However, the resident of the area have some how appreciated the effort. According to one the resident the cafes in the vicinity of DHA were highly affecting their privacy.

As soon as the dhabas were destroyed, the pics of bulldozed area were posted on social media where users condemned the destruction. However, one can see clearly that only the outside area of the cafes were flatten whereas shops remain unaffected.
