Creativity isn't at anyone's mercy, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui
WEB DESK: Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of those celebrities of B-town who aren't afraid of voicing their opinion openly. We have seen events where he spoke his mind and made thoughtful statements.Â
Now, the actor has addressed artist and urged them to go with whatever enthuses them without fearing society or bunch of ultra sensitive people.
“I am not talking about politics but society it seems has become ultra-sensitive towards everything. It’s scary", the 43 year old actor says because he feels such ultra sensitivity is restricting creativity.
The Raees star believed that artist should not stop expressing themselves and must continue with their creativity,"As it isn't at the mercy of anyone. One can’t dictate a creative soul. A painter will put his or her imagination on canvas, a writer will pen whatever he or she feels strongly about, a scientist will continue to experiment and invent… They won’t and shouldn’t stop in the fear of the society."
You can find Siddiqui doing what is saying and going in the direction of what pleases him as in his next flick he would be seen in the role of contentious playwright-author, Saddat Hassan Manto. He says, "He won’t be surprised if people raise questions around the film as well. It’s a fascinating character to play. As an actor, I will take up roles that I am keen on portraying. If I think about the reaction I am going to receive, I will not be able to work. So, I will never do that."
On the work, Nawaz will be seen in a dark and mysterious character against versatile actress Sridevi in forthcoming film, Mom.
