Zardari’s two ‘missing’ friends recovered
Friends of former president Asif Ali Zardari viz. Ishfaq Leghari and Ghulam Qadir Marri who had 'gone missing' were recovered on Sunday in Turbat district of Balochistan.
Law enforcement agencies recovered the two friends of co-chairman of Pakistan People's Party in Turbat along with their security guards and drivers.
They were abducted in different incidents in Karachi and Jamshoro. A VCC recovered the two groups tracing one of the abducted person's mobile phone signals.
Leghari's family received an extortion call after the abduction which, according to the law enforcement agencies, was helpful in the operation.
However, according to SSP Tariq Dheijo, 'long negotiations with the criminals' led to recovery of the two abducted friends of the former president. No arrests have been made so far in the case, he said.-NNI
