Iran attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan : Javad Zarif
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has said his country attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
He expressed the sentiments during a meeting with Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Javad Zarif said that Iran believes in the unity of of Muslim countries. Both Pakistan and Iran will have to work together for resolution of problems faced by the Ummah. He said the two countries also need to move forward with consensus on matters of international importance.
In his remarks, the interior minister pointed out that Pakistan-Iran relations are rooted in common faith, history and geography. He said Iran is a fraternal country and the hearts of the peoples of two countries beat together. He made it clear that no hurdle will be allowed to come in the way of better relations between the two countries.
The Iranian Foreign Minister will also hold talks with Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz during his stay in Islamabad.-Radio Pakistan
