Sindh CM inspects ongoing development schemes in Karachi
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to various areas of the metropolis on Sunday and inspected ongoing development schemes.Â
He first reached Tariq Road without any protocol and sought details of work pertaining to the construction of road on either side. He also reviewed the upgradation and widening of the Shahra-e-Faisal.
Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Jam Khan Shoro, briefed him about the work.
Murad Ali Shah also directed that the work pertaining to under- construction road at Hassan Square be speeded up.
He also inspected the work at the University Road and Gulshan-i- Iqbal.
The Chief Minister was informed about the difficulty in the work owing to electricity pole.
The Chief Minister said that he would himself take up the matter with the K-Electric because people are facing immense difficulties.
Murad Ali Shah said that the road from Karachi University to Safoora Chowrangi was in a bad shape and that the road on this portion be completed by July.
He also inspected the road from Safoora Chowrangi to Malir Cantonment as well as reconstruction of road from Surjani to Madina tul Hikmat as well as that of the Lyari Expressway.
The Chief Minister was given a briefing about the Lyari Expressway being constructed with Rs. 643 million and would be completed by Feb 18.
He directed provincial transport minister Syed Nasir Shah to undertake visits for supervision of works.
