‘Dabbang’ Khan has finally opened up about the war between him and singer Arijit Singh. Arijit Singh had angered Salman Khan at an award function in 2014 and since then, the superstar had vowed not to take him on board in any of his films.

Few days back in a Facebook post, Arijit posted a public apology to Salman Khan and repeatedly beseeched him to retain his voice in ‘Sultan’. Salman Khan chose not to talk about it earlier, but now finally decided to talk on the controversy.

During the promotions of the film, Salman played down the issue around Arijit's public apology in his own peculiar way. He did not use direct words. But whatever he spoke resonated anger and displeasure. He said, “In every film there are lot of singers who sing and director and producer who make the choice of who is going to be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine but that was also rejected, so why get so upset and so hurt. This is life,” Indian media reported.

“There should be a day when one person should say I don’t want to sing for him and then other one should say, ‘arre please gaa de mere liye. I am sorry.’ And then smart ones don’t turn out bright. When such smart comments and posts happen, you get to know with what intention they are writing it. So it is all good,” he added.

The song ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ was initially recorded by Arijit. It was later re-recorded in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice while Salman also sang another version of it.
