LAHORE: 66th death anniversary of the great leader and founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed today on Thursday with great zeal, whereas different seminars, prayer ceremonies are held to pay tribute to the great leader Jinnah.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the Leader of All India Muslim league, as well as the key person to derive the concept of a separate homeland from India for India's Muslims. Jinnah suffered from a deadly tuberculosis and passed away on September, 11, 1948. It is pertinent to know that he passed away in the ambulance, when he was on his way to the hospital for treatment.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was educated in Lincoln's Inn in London and trained as a lawyer. He showed his interest in politics after attending the All India Congress meetings, whereas later he became the Muslim representative of Bombay in the Imperial Legislative Council.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah, titled as Quaid-e-Azam became the president of All India Muslim League in 1916. From this time, he dreamed for a separate nation for the Muslims of India, and after his great struggle for the nation, he gave all the Muslim a new state 'Pakistan' on 14 August 1947.
