Rawalpindi: one dead, three injured during distribution of goods

RAWALPINDI: At least one woman was reported to be dead and three others to be injured during the distribution of goods for the month of Ramadan in Rawalpindi, Harlay Street, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, a panic rush started to take place on the time when the workers were distributing the goods and food commodities for the month of Ramadan, due to which four women lost their balance and were crushed down. The reports mentioned that one woman out of four died at the spot, whereas three others sustained minor injuries.
The names of the victims were identified as Musarat Bibi, who died at the spot, whereas Rashida Bibi, Sakina and Darwesha, who sustained minor injuries were taken to District hospital for medical treatment.
According to the sources, the police officials arrived at the incident site after 30 min, because of which the locals of the area themselves managed to take the injured and the dead body to the district hospital.
