FAISALABAD:  During a robbery attempt, two dacoits were killed in an alleged police encounter in Faisalabad, Aaj News reported.

According to the police, police spotted the dacoits when they were trying to snatch a car from a citizen on Canal Road in Faisalabad.

As a result, they tried to flee from the site but police personnel chased them and an encounter took place.  Both the dacoits were killed during an exchange of fire.

Soon after the incidents, police took the bodies into their custody and shifted them to the hospital for post mortem and identification. However, the identity of the armed robbers could not be ascertained yet.
