MIANWALI: The Pak-Fazaia base in Mianwali has been attributed with the name of M.M Alam to pay homage to the national hero for his services, Aaj News reported.

At a ceremony arranged to rename the Air Base, which was attended by PM Nawaz Sharif, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed. Defense Minister Khuwaja Asif and Air Chief Marshall Tahir Rafiq Bhatt.

MM Alam is considered to be a national hero in the war of 1965, where he downed five Indian jet fighters during the combat and formed a world record.
