Sindh Festival to spread knowledge about civilization: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and Local Bodies Sharjeel Inam Memon on Saturday said that Pakistan People Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken pivotal step for preservation of Sindh's ancient civilization that dates back to 5000 years through a 15-day Sindh Festival.

Speaking at the occasion Sindh Festival opening at the Mohenjo Daro, Memon said that the Sindh Festival celebrations spread over the whole of province of Sindh would provide a gigantic platform for the creation of awareness for the youth and people in Pakistan as well as across the world.

The minister said that Sindh is the land of Sufi (Saint) and it promotes peace and brotherhood among people. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has a clear vision, which revolves around creation of peace and tranquility and brotherhood in Pakistan and the festival is the starting platform for spread of love, peace and brotherhood across the country.

Memon said that the youth of the country and people around the world would find an opportunity to learn about the ancient civilization of Sindh from the platform of Sindh Festival. The Sindh Festival would open new venues for exploring positive changes in the country.

He said that only great nations in the history of mankind kept their civilization record, cultural heritage abreast and the same is done by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on behalf of Pakistani nation.

He said that the Sindh Festival would prove a platform for the spread of knowledge about the ancient civilization of Sindh and Sindhi culture to nook and cranny of the world.

Memon declared Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as an inspiring leader for the youth of the country to guide them through thick and thin and help them reach their destiny of peace and prosperity.
