We at Society of Emergency Physicians Pakistan, inform all through this press release for a meeting conducted between the in-charge/heads of Emergency departments of the following hospital:1. Civil Hospital Karachi, 2. Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center, 3. Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, 4. Aga Khan University Hospital, 5. Qatar Hospital, 6. Indus Hospital, 7. Patel Hospital

It was mutually agreed to develop a coordination committee to coordinate in natural and man-made disaster situation with emergency department of all major hospitals and ambulance services in Karachi.
Society of Emergency Physicians Pakistan will also request health and home department, government of Sindh and city government, Emergency Department of all major hospitals in Karachi for providing a centralized pre-hospital and emergency care command and control center in case of mass casualty incidents.

The next meeting of the society will be at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center on Thursday the 6th of February 2014.
