Indian cricket team ready to play Pak-India series

MUMBAI: After six years of denial, Board for Cricket Control of India (BCCI) is ready to play Pak-India series at any neutral venue in UAE.

The reports of the BCCI and the England and Wales Cricket Board hinting to agree to play Pakistan at any neutral venue in UAE came ahead of ICC executive board meeting in Dubai on January 28 and 29.

According to the sources, India is looking forward for a goodwill of Pakistan to rule ICC this year. BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel spoke in an interview, "We are ready to play series with Pakistan. The series can take place in UAE at any neutral location." He further added, "This particular decision has been taken to facilitate good relations between Indian and Pakistan cricket teams."

This sudden decision has driven many questions and doubtful claims since India, Australia and England, basically, trying to become first class citizens of the International Cricket Council (ICC), making the seven other nations second class citizens, including Pakistan. The cricket community in the country has reacted cautiously to these reports asking Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not to fall into the 'trap'.

Former captain Rashid Latif said the draft needed to be opposed by the other seven ICC full members for the lead to be taken by Pakistan and South Africa.
