John Terry refuses to apologize - Racism Trial
Chelsea Captain John Terry doesn't deny he has used the term term but insist that he was merely repeating the words what was said to him by Anton.
John Terry, during the exchanges along the trial with prosecution Duncan Penny repeatedly forced that Terry had lost his composure in the moments that led up to him calling Queens Park Rangers’s Anton Ferdinand a “black c-----"
Where as Terry kept insisting that Ferdinand had used those words first and that he was merely repeating them back to the QPR defender.
On prosecutions allegations that he snapped over the affair taunts with Vanessa Perroncel.Terry denied that he had "snapped", with his team struggling in the match and after being insulted.
Terry also said he had not considered apologising to Mr Ferdinand because the QPR player had accused him first. “I’d probably have repeated it back,†said Terry. “I couldn't control my emotions.â€
Terry added that At "more or less every game" he would be taunted about allegations of an affair. and that its all "Part and parcel of the game" he explained that he suffered it “very frequently†on both the training field and the football pitch but that it was “part and parcel of the game; you get on with the game basicallyâ€.
On a question asked by the prosecution if he had considered apologising to Ferdinand, he replied: "Why would I apologise to Anton when he is the one who accused me? What I said was in response to what Anton said to me."
Terry insisted that he is not a racist, The court was also told Mr Terry had worked with former Chelsea players Marcel Desailly and Didier Drogba's African charities. And what ever happened was in the moment he only repeated what Anton said to him.
However, the trial was adjourned until Wednesday. If found guilty, the maximum sentence Mr Terry could receive is a £2,500 fine.
