ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two officials of the Interior Ministry on Saturday. Both the officials are reported to have been arrested on charges whereby they misused their respective authority.

According to sources, the FIA arrested Joint Interior Secretary Aslam Kundi and Section Officer Waheed Memon during their raid within the Interior department on Saturday. Sources further added that both the officials had written a letter with respect to increasing the time duration of police officials appointed on the “Aman Mission”.

Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, has taken notice of the incident and has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
