Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Sunday visited Siachen to personally see the rescue operation launched to recover 135 soldiers and civilians trapped under the avalanche.

The COAS was accompanied by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Khalid Nawaz Khan. According to an ISPR press release, Major General Ikramul Haq, Commander FCNA, apprised the COAS about the details of rescue operation.
