Arif Lohar’s ‘Jugni’ enters in Bollywood
Arif Lohar is perhaps one of the most prestigious folk voice of Pakistan.
After memorable singers like Noor Jahan, we track down the beauty of our traditional singer by Arif Lohar who made his presence at the Coke Studio last year. Like many other remarkable singers of Pakistan Lohar has also gone across the border as a playback singer. He will be singing his immensely popular single, ‘Jugni for the movie ‘Diary of a Butterfly’. The film, in which Udita Goswami is playing the lead actress, is directed by Vinod Mukhi and produced by Rakesh Sabarwal.
The re-birth of Arif Lohar with Alif Allah was truly a soothing and more of a Sufi-like chant for the ears.
Talking in an interview he said,“I have my own distinctive style. I feel that every artist should have their own signature. I feel proud that Pakistani artists have made a mark globally, be it India or abroad and that they have now reached a point where they are recognised the world over".
